Finally...

Updated: Sep 25, 2019

Our male Yoda has been very productive in June. Not only Anaïs, but also Gabi became pregnant. And as a scoop today, I can finally show you the pictures of the youngest offspring: let's meet Beau, Balthazar and Boyd. They were born on 4/09/19. The pregnancy had gone smoothly so far and around 6 p.m. that day, Gabi started to have contractions and settled in one of the boxes of our scratching posts. Not in the neatly provided birthing containers of course. At 8 p.m. the birth started, and as it should be with an acrobat like Gabi, she gave birth to the first kitten while jumping from one box to another. Fortunately she landed in the other box just in time to gently lay the baby down. The others came to the world more gently and at 9:15 pm they were all born.

In the meantime, almost 3 weeks are gone by and Gabi is proven to be a super mom, she protects the little ones as the best, and they do not lack food either. The babies weigh well over 300g and crawl around the crate. However, we have to find a way to move the little ones on to lower regions, as the box is 1.5 meters from the ground. Not really ideal when they start crawling around. Luckily the box has tall edges.

Thank you for following this blog. I hope you enjoy our stories. Feedback is always welcomed and greatly appreciated.

I hope to see you again next week,

xoxo
